Crystal Fire: Let's Get Growing

With fire season just starting, and now this catastrophe in Jefferson County, we thought it might not hurt to provide a little positive thinking for those people living along the Front Range.

The pine beetle and wildfires are devastating our current forest and many of us may not be around to see the next one fully mature. However, we can help assure that the next forest will be healthier and more resistant to fire and insect infestations by passing the lessons we are learning on to the next generation.

On May 12, Deb and Dennis Pedersen, whose home was destroyed during the Crystal Fire last year, and their Moody Park neighbors in Larimer County are hosting a celebration to thank the community for its generosity and support during that recent catastrophe. They would like everyone to begin thinking proactively by starting the next forest.
